One of the distinctive points about Thailand is the Thais. Many people know this nation as the Land of Smiles as the Thais are easy-going and always smiling. Thai people are normally kind, warm and welcoming to foreigners. Tourists can feel quite comfortable asking for directions or helps from Thai strangers during their trips. Some believe that this is the influence of Buddhism, which is the religion that approximately 90% of the population is believed in.

Besides the friendly people, the country has a great combination of unique culture, interesting long history, amazing cuisine and beautiful nature. As a result, Thailand has a vast variety of holiday destinations and activities for tourists to enjoy. Tourists can choose to experience many things in this territory from thick jungles, all-night parties, stunning beaches or something else that would appeal to everyone. Besides the tourist attractions, Thailand is also an excellent place to shop due to the incredibly low price items available. To make this article the easy and the best Thailand travel guide, the content in terms of attractions will be divided into regions, North, Central and South; due to the distinctive characteristics of each part of the country.

As mentioned, each part of Thailand has different characteristics and cultures. To the north of Thailand, especially in Chiang Mai, you will find some beautiful mountain landscape with many orchid farms and elephant training camps which would give visitors some unique experience that hard to find elsewhere. Up To Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle area, travelers can visit the hill-tribe people that still have strong native culture and rituals. With the extremely different way of living for these hill tribes, travelers can experience another world on this same planet. In addition in this area, tourists can have a chance to see nice view of Me Kong river, one of the world’s greatest rivers originated from Tibet area and divide Thailand territory from Laos. Moreover, if ones wish to enjoy camping in the greenish forests up the hills, this can also be done in the northern region due to plentiful of the green areas that still beautifully exist in this part of the land.

          ]]>

Next is the best Thailand Travel Guide in the central part of the country. In this part, there are still a lot of natural attractions in boundless national parks with some stunning waterfalls. Additionally, there are more of the ancient cities with the existed ruins in Ayutthaya and Sukhothai that can say a lot about the long history of the nation. Last but not least, the capital city, Bangkok, is also located in this region.

To introduce Bangkok separately as it is the place where most visitors begin their journey in this country due to that Bangkok International Airport is the major arrival spot from flights around the world. Bangkok is one of the most crowded cities in the world with lots of traffic congestion, large amount of population and high-rise buildings; yet, it is the city with complete facilities, convenient transportation systems and large shopping malls and streets.

Finally for this best Thailand Travel Guide is the southern region, the slimmest and longest area of Thailand. This region is the land in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea so that beaches are the highlights of this area. Tourists are guaranteed to experience amazing beaches, stunning beautiful tropical islands and sparkling blue water. Moreover, many alternative western-standard accommodations are available from world-class hotels to backpacker places that can be matched with every taste and budget. Due to the existed beautiful reefs and underwater creatures, scuba diving and snorkeling are normal activities visitors often choose to enjoy in this area.

There is a Thai joke saying that there are 3 seasons in Thailand: hot, hotter and hottest. Normally, most Thailand travel guides would say that the most recommended season to come to Thailand is during November to February as it is the least hot period, yet, the sun still shines beautifully. March to May is considered too hot as it is the hottest period, which could be less tolerable for visitors especially westerners. And as the rain would then arrive during June to October, it is considered as too wet in the monsoon season of Thailand. However, this Best Thailand Travel Guide would choose to also recommend travelers to consider this wet season because this would be less crowded time to visit many attractions such as well-known beaches, ancient cities or temples. The best thing is that during this time with occasional rains, travelers can pay for much less for air fares and accommodations. Well-known hotels can reduce their rates up to 50-60% so that visitors can enjoy superior facilities at minimal expenses.

To explore further for the great deals of accommodation in every season in Thailand, you can visit Thailandcheckin.com for your option.

Finding A Travel Insurance Quote Before Traveling Internationally

Traveling outside of your home country can be an exciting time for both families and lone individuals. But no trip comes without risk, which is why many travelers turn to travel insurance to ensure that their finances and their health are protected against unforeseen events. With the right travel insurance, international travelers can enjoy their vacations without any undue stress. And with the insurance resources available online, finding an attractive travel insurance quote is a simple process.

One attractive feature of travel insurance is that it covers the cost of a vacation against both interruption and cancellation. This means that if something comes up and a traveler has to either cancel or interrupt their vacation, the traveler will be reimbursed for their unused travel time. Travel insurance can also cover the cost of lost or delayed luggage and travel delay. If an accident happens and a traveler needs emergency medical attention, travel insurance can cover these costs as well.

To find a travel insurance quote online, the first thing that a consumer must do is to decide which form of travel insurance they desire. Most vacationers will go with a standard travel insurance plan, which can offer up to 100,000 dollars in medical coverage. A standard travel insurance plan may offer emergency evacuation services, terrorism coverage and 24 hour assistance services, and it would be wise for any international traveler to choose these forms of coverage if they are available.

Travel for the sake of travelling has becomes the “in” things people do these days. Immerse in a holiday and a breakaway trip for total relaxation! There is a Chinese proverb that says; 百闻不如一见 (in simplified Pinyin; bǎi wén bùrú yī jiàn). Literally it means hearing something a hundred times is not as good as seeing it once. These days we say; seeing is believing!

With technologies advancement, travel made by all types, means and classes of transportation modes have increased tremendously. This is aided pretty well by the increased affluent and improved lifestyle societies have become.

Another factor that contributed positively to this heightened travelling habits is the internet. In this internet age, all information and resources can be easily obtained at hand with much ease. Therefore, both the service providers (transport operators, travel agents down to money changers) and the end users (traveler) benefited much from this source.

Now, with almost everyone ready to embark on the next trip, what should one look out for in the most essentials of travelling?

Planning, in any situation one has to plan ahead. The thought of travelling is exciting. The experience will be rewarding. However we also heard of how horrible what a trip can turn out to be. To benefit fully from a travel it makes sense to make some planning before leaping off for the destination. The rewards of a well planned trip before travel is often well worth it, the experience gained will go down a long way in one’s memory lane. Planning can be very daunting as well. There are many things to think of, and all these have to be done conjuring up what are to be expected from the trip. Yes, it’s building castle in the air!

Have you gone sleepless the night before the trip? The anxiety of getting to fly and “the castle” that was built while planning just didn’t want to go away in your mind? Before we even try to squeeze everything into the luggage, here’s a list that may help to sort out what are the required bare essentials.

The very first thing that comes to mind when you start planning your trip is the passport. It may sound obvious but as you can’t go anywhere without it, it’s the first chore to go through! Most countries require at least 6 months validity period on your passport. And if you are travelling with young children, ensure that they have their latest photographs taken and passport updated if their first passport photos were taken when they were few months old. You wouldn’t know how much the little ones have grown and their facial features changed, and you may agree that they do look different at times, what the immigration authorities would think then? Don’t pass on your passport, check as early as possible!

Travelling to and around the world comes with certain restrictions. Before the travel, it’s important to find out what these restrictions are. Some countries will require you to get a visa before travel and these should be applied for early for as early as 3 months in advance before travelling. Also, one needs to be very clear about the itineraries, as to what the travel schedule takes you. Multiple re-entry permits will have to be arranged if returning to the same country again is in the itinerary. Every visa application is different, but you can find the information you need at specific government websites, the travel agency can also be contacted for advice.

You need to be fit enough to trek through say, the tropical forests in Malaysia, the temperate Mongolian grassland, the Inca trail to Machu Picchu in Peru or speed off on a safari in Kenya, so your health has to be a big consideration. It’s important that you visit the doctor before you travel. If you travel anywhere and going places it is necessary to get a few jabs before you leap off for the trip. And if there is any medical condition, it’s better to get the doctor consulted early. A reminder, some countries will have different regulations on certain medications so it’s worth checking can and can’t be taken into the destination before you go. Prevention goes a long way, get jabbed!

Don’t leave home without it; travel insurance! It is essentially important whether you’re travelling budget or luxury. The cost of a medical treatment overseas can be mind-blowing. It can be devastating in the case of an emergency. With the right travel insurance, you’ll be covered and have a total peace of mind, and that is adding value to the trip experience. There are many insurance packages in the market, and one should choose an appropriate package and duly insured. How much cover you’ll need depends on what the trip entails. Very simple, if your trip involves some challenging activities as compared to a standard normal tour around the cities, then opt for a higher coverage. Not sure, get insured!

Different cultures are one of the many aspects of travelling that makes it interesting and exciting. However, there are certain do’s and dont’s that you should observed when abroad. For example if you are in Thailand, don’t try using your feet to step on the currency note in trying to retrieve it if it happens to slip away, why? Take a closer look and it is not difficult that you will find the portray of their beloved King printed on it! It’s out of respect. While in Rome, do as the Romans do. Language barriers rank top when come to travelling make difficult, especially if one is travelling alone. It is always good to catch up a few standard daily used words and phrases prior to the trip. It’ll be much easier to interact with the locals and make your trip even more pleasant and enjoyable if you can understand a little of their lingo. There are tons of language courses out there and some simple conversational phrases of languages can be found on the internet, some are free of charge!

Firstly, it is crucial have enough cash to last the whole trip. However, it is also recommended that one should not bring too much cash while on the roads. Preferably you should have a credit card in case for emergency use. Both cash and credit card complement each other throughout the whole trip. It really depends on what you want to do and where you are heading. In today’s travelling make easy about in any countries, it has been so much at ease in using those credit cards which are readily accepted. Cash comes in handy when you are dealing with some off the roads events. You wouldn’t want to miss the chance to get yourself a beautifully and elegantly carved handmade souvenir offered by some roadside vendors that deal on a cash basis. No cash no talk!

Each of us has a different travelling requirements, as in male and female pack their bag differently. So what one needs is different from another. You have to check the weather of the destination that you are going to. This is probably the most important information as it basically dictates what you are going to pack into the luggage, most of it will be clothing. Travelling to a temperate region is relatively lighter than the colder winter region. At least you don’t need to pack those huge jacket and winter clothing. The lighter you travel the better it is!

The world changes constantly. Just as you would like to check out the weather conditions of the destination you are getting to, it is also necessary to read the paper and news broadcast and even advisable to log on to the relevant internet websites to get some briefings of the political and social happenings at destination country. So in the months leading up to the trip, it is recommended to be alert to news about the travel destination and on the lookout for any travel warnings. Most governmental websites would have links to the relevant information. The Embassy does provide direct information and some airlines even have warning alerts put up to their websites.

It’s worth planning ahead to travel! In any situation if we fail to plan, we plan to fail.

Keep in mind that you will pay lower prices on both lodging and park tickets if you book your trip during the off season, which runs from October through April.

It is hard to imagine a more exciting, magical, and eagerly anticipated vacation than a Disney theme park adventure.

And because the prospect of the trip is so exciting, the planning process can be half the fun. Here is how to get started planning the trip of a lifetime, for a lot less than you might think.

Order Your Free Disney DVD

One of the first things you will want to do is take advantage of the free Disney Parks Vacation Planning DVD. This official Disney DVD takes you on a complete tour of both resorts. Go inside the parks and get an overview of the Disney complexes in both Florida and Southern California. Preview the water and roller coaster rides and get tips on where to go and what to do. The DVD also features planning guides, information on affordable places to stay, things to do, and upcoming special events. You can order it on the official Disney Parks website. (Simply do a Google search for “Free Disney Vacation Planning DVD.”)

Hotel Deals

The second thing on your list will be to find the best Disneyland and Disneyworld hotel deals.

Keep in mind that you will pay lower prices on both lodging and park tickets if you book your trip during the off season, which runs from October through April.

Disney resorts have a number of on site hotels, which bring lots of advantages, including discounted ticket prices and, of course, convenience. But the experience of staying in a resort hotel comes with a price: as much as triple the cost of other hotels.

If cost is the foremost consideration in planning your Disney vacation, begin an online search for hotels near the resort instead. Many of these neighboring hotels offer comfortable, clean lodging and may provide a complimentary shuttle service to the resort.

Accommodations range from value priced to deluxe, with amenities to match. Make a list of the features that are most important to you and refer to them when deciding on a hotel. If you do not mind parking your car and walking instead of using the valet, or if you do not mind limited room service, then you do not need to pay more for a deluxe hotel stay.

The distances to and from the park can differ, so be sure to ask about the location of the hotel in relation to the park, as well as whether the hotel offers complimentary transportation, such as shuttle bus or monorail service. There are lots of choices and you can find many different package deals depending on your budget and preferences. The Internet has made it so easy to compare Disney area hotels (and their amenities) at a glance.

Saving on Meals

Disney does not allow you to bring food into the park. But you can save money by having breakfast before entering the park and eating dinner after you leave. Lunch prices tend to be quite a bit lower than dinner prices at the restaurants inside the park, so you can experience the magic of a meal in the park for less.

You will be permitted to bring in bottled water, which is much less expensive than buying sodas and bottled water inside the park.

More Disney Travel Tips

1. Some hotels and travel agents offer discounts to nurses, teachers and government workers, as well as AAA, AARP and Entertainment Book members.

2. Make sure to purchase your tickets before you get to the park, so you do not have to stand in line when you get there.

3. Read your tickets and passes and make sure you understand what you are paying for. Remember, too, that some rides have certain height requirements for children.

4. Walking the parks may be fine for the adults, but you may want to either bring your own stroller or rent one for your child.

5. If you have a child who is too small for a particular ride, take advantage of the Disney “Baby Swap” option. All you need to do is tell the attendant. When you reach the front of the line, one parent will be able to ride while the other parent holds the child. When the ride is over, you switch. That way, neither parent has to sit out.

6. The weather can be unpredictable so do not be caught off guard. Make sure to bring an umbrella, ponchos and some cool weather clothing. Plan ahead for rainy days by having a list of indoor activities you want to do in the area, as well, just in case of an extended downpour.

Though a Disney vacation may seem overwhelming during the planning stage, rest assured that a little bit of planning now will make for a more relaxed, memorable (even magical) vacation that you and your children will remember for a long time to come.

In order to have the best vacation possible, I’m going to share with you the must know tricks and travel tips before you travel.

The very first thing you must do is RESEARCH. You want to learn as much as you possibly can about your destination prior to arrival. Yes, this is going to require some time and effort on your part but it is going to be more than worth it. This is the only way to truly understand what it is you want from your vacation and what you want to do on your vacation.

Here are some things that you should always know about your destination.

Weather – You need to know what you should be packing and planning for.
Paperwork and Documentation – Know what is needed to travel to your particular destination.
Know if there are any diseases common to the area you will be traveling to – this way you are able to take preventative measures.
Costs of local items – You want to be able to properly plan your budget; remember to include taxes and tipping.
Holidays and festivals – check to see when these occur for your destination as you may find limited services on those days.

The best holidays are the ones we are most prepared for. Do yourself a favour; make it a habit to always know as much as you can about your destination before you travel. It’ll make all the difference in the world!

What are some other things that you can do to prepare yourself? Use these travel tips before you travel.

Make 2 photocopies of your passport. Take one and put it in a safe place or leave it with a friend. Take the other one with you and keep it in a separate place from your passport, this way should your passport become lost or stolen, you can use the copy to exit the country and it will also facilitate the replacement process.

Email yourself important information such as: airline numbers and flight information, credit card numbers, passport and driver’s licence numbers and anything else that may be of importance to you. This way if anything is lost or stolen, you are just and internet connection away.

Know your banking information. For your credit card, make sure that the valid dates will remain valid while you’re traveling, know your available spending amount and don’t forget to leave some room on it for emergencies. Check your ATM and debit cards’ daily and total limits.

Learn some local phrases. If you are traveling to a country with a foreign language, it’s always nice to know some of the local phrases. Knowing the “polite words” and just a few local phrases will be a huge help. You will find that natives really appreciate this and will tend to be more receptive to your questions. Maybe you’ll even make a new friend while you’re at it!

Be aware of the voltage that’s used for the country you’re traveling to. If you are taking anything that requires an outlet; cell phone, computer, video camera, etc. make sure to purchase plug adapters. For things such as hairdryers, curling irons, electric razors, etc to purchase an actual voltage converter unless your appliance has multiple voltage currencies.

When traveling to a foreign country it’s always best to be as prepared as you can be. Do as much research as you possibly can, remember these travel tips before you travel and your trip abroad is sure to be a success.

Here’s your final checklist: Passport, tickets, car rental and hotel reservation receipts/agreements, credit cards, medications or prescriptions, if required, addresses, password and any other important information that you may need. Don’t forget the most important thing: your adventurous travel mind, see and learn as much as you can and have the time of your life!
